Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) Blockchain Central
I had the most exhilarating experience at the inaugural Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) Blockchain Central event in D.C., moderating the panel "What about the States?".
It was an honor sharing the stage with and hearing from the most impressive changemakers advancing blockchain adoption and legislation in their respective states, including:
Nevada Secretary of State Francisco V. Aguilar sharing how Nevada has integrated blockchain technology into its election certification process, to enable an additional layer of security to its Certificate of Ascertainment, thereby certifying election results for the Presidential Election in 2024.
New Hampshire Rep. Keith Ammon talking about his state being the first to pass a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve bill (H.B. 302) which enables the state treasurer to invest up to 5 percent of New Hampshire’s state funds into precious metals and digital assets.
Kentucky Rep. Vanessa Grossl providing details about the state passing HB701 to provide clarity in blockchain terminology and establish a foundation for blockchain and digital asset businesses to thrive.
Chief Risk and Compliance Officer of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, Debra Brookes shared the grand vision of the project and emphasized how thinking global is key to states driving innovation on a local level.
