Stand for Crypto: DC Fly-In

As the Hawaii State Chapter President for Stand With Crypto, a national grassroots non-profit advocating for common-sense crypto legislation, I had the honor of representing Hawaii at her Stand With Crypto Day, advocating for clarity in crypto regulation alongside my West Coast cohort mates, all founders representing the California, Washington and Hawaii.

Over 8 meetings, we met with members of the Congress and their staffers who were so patient and open to learning about crypto and the real-life use cases leveraging blockchain technology through our respective companies. I am particularly appreciative of Annika Nozaki, legislative assistant to Representative Ed Case of Hawaii who took the time to meet and listen. It was due to these efforts that built up to the successful passing of the U.S.’s first piece of crypto legislation, the GENIUS Act.
